Description

The Aero Optim enables precise aerodynamic testing for automobiles in the size of a garage. The system is portable, pitless and can be easily installed, and it measures both drag and lift coefficients to three decimal places. Compared to large wind tunnels, the measured values agree to within 3%, and data can be extrapolated accurately for speeds up to about 180 km/h (see comparison data PDF for details). The simple environment wind tunnel provides can be taken advantage of for various applications such as prototyping, heat-transfer tests, visualization, and measurements for local wind velocity and pressure.
