Greeting

Our company mission is to build “A Wind Tunnnel for Everyone.”

A wind tunnel is a device used to produce wind in a controlled manner and observe the effects of airflow on the object being tested. The history of wind tunnels started with the dawn of aviation. The Wright Brothers built their wind tunnel and successfully flew the Wright Flyer based on the data obtained. This started a worldwide race to develop wind tunnels that are larger and more powerful with greater precision. As the aviation industry matured, wind tunnels became indispensable because they allowed for easy testing with actual aircraft and miniature models. As the performance of aircraft, trains, and automobiles improved and became faster, the importance of wind tunnels continued to grow. In recent years, wind tunnels have also become valuable to the construction industry as buildings have become larger and taller. Data provided by such wind tunnels have arguably been crucial for the growth of modern civilization.

In recent times, computerized fluid simulation emerged along with the development of IT technology. Despite this, wind tunnels have continued to be used for generating accurate and reliable test results in a relatively short time, especially for complex shapes and environments. Therefore, demand for wind tunnels continues to rise due to the importance of aerodynamics in the drone and electric vehicle fields in recent years. However, due to their size, maintenance and construction costs, wind tunnels are still expensive and can only be owned by large companies and organizations. Small and medium-sized companies, even departments belonging to large corporations, have trouble gaining access to a wind tunnel.

In response, we have been developing products such as the compact Aero Optim wind tunnel unit that uses our original short-range flow-straightening technology to make wind tunnels more energy-efficient and compact, thereby making it easier to introduce wind tunnels to a broader demographic. Until now, the choice of wind tunnels has been limited. Companies have until now only been offered over-specced wind tunnels based on the pretense that “bigger is better.” To address this issue, we provide several options that have never been available before that lie between regular wind tunnels and fans such as simple-design and stacked wind tunnels. These options are provided while we retain our commitment to designing and manufacturing large, conventional wind tunnels that meet more stringent needs.

Wind Tunnel for Everyone

Our goal is to create a world in which even small and medium-sized companies, start-ups, and athletes can easily gain access to wind tunnels. If wind tunnels become commonplace, the hurdles for new entrants in fields such as EVs and drones will be lowered, allowing for more vigorous competition and the development of higher quality products. Our company hopes to support global development with Japanese manufacturering as a key player.
