Joshua Lawn
CMO
Joshua Lawn was born in 1994 in Nagasaki. In his first year of high school, using funds from the Ministry of Education, Lawn conducted research on wind turbines at Nagasaki University. Upon enrollment at Kyushu University’s Research Institute of Applied Mechanics, he acquired funds for research on next-generation wind turbines and constructed wind tunnels for testing his designs. The wind tunnel created for this research continues to be the world’s largest and fastest of its type.
For both wind turbine and wind tunnel development, Lawn has received eight domestic and two international prizes at various technology and business competitions, of which four were grand prizes. To make his inventions available as products, Lawn started Japan Wind Tunnel Manufacturing before graduation and is now conducting as the company’s CEO.
